This Cookies Policy explains how Lumizone Łukasz Blania ("we", "us"), operator of the website firstpersonviewpoint.com(the "Website"), uses cookies and similar technologies.
This Policy is issued in accordance with Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive), Article 173 of the Polish Telecommunications Act of 16 July 2004, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. In this Policy, "cookies" refers to all such technologies collectively.
2. Does the Mobile App Use Cookies?
No. The First Person Viewpoint mobile application does not use browser cookies. It uses local device storage (AsyncStorage, SecureStore) strictly to store your authentication session, application settings, and cached content — this is not tracking technology and it is never shared with third parties.
3. Cookies Used on the Website
The Website is a minimal informational site hosting our legal documents, promotional pages, and required domain-verification files (such as .well-known/assetlinks.json). We use only strictly necessary cookies, plus a cookieless, privacy-friendly traffic-measurement tool (Umami, self-hosted) described in Section 4. We do not use advertising, profiling, or social-media cookies.
| Cookie / technology | Purpose | Category | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm (or equivalent) | Anti-bot and DDoS protection provided by the CDN hosting the Website, distinguishing humans from automated traffic | Strictly necessary | Up to 30 minutes | Third-party (CDN provider) |
| Session token (if the Website later exposes authenticated areas) | Maintains a signed-in state during a single browser session | Strictly necessary | Session | First-party |
Strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as they are necessary to provide the service explicitly requested by the user.
4. Privacy-Friendly Traffic Measurement (Umami)
The Website uses Umami, a self-hosted, open-source traffic-measurement tool operated by the Controller on its own infrastructure at analytics.darkdynasty.cloud. Umami is designed to measure aggregate visitor numbers without tracking individuals.
Umami does not set cookies on your device and does not use localStorage or sessionStorage for identification purposes. Because no information is stored on or read from your terminal equipment, Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive does not apply and no consent banner is required.
For each page view, the following information is processed on our server:
- the URL of the visited page and the referring URL,
- your browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size (derived from the User-Agent string),
- your country, derived from your IP address (the IP itself is not stored in the analytics database),
- a daily-rotating anonymous visit hash generated server-side from your IP address, User-Agent, and a random daily salt. This hash cannot be reversed to your IP and resets every 24 hours.
We do not combine this data with any other dataset, we do not share it with third parties, and it cannot be used to identify you as an individual. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate Website usage to improve the content and technical performance of the Website. You may object at any time under Article 21 GDPR by writing to the email in Section 9.
5. If We Introduce Non-Essential Cookies
Should we in the future add cookie-based or storage-based tracking (for example, advertising or profiling cookies), we will first show a consent banner that allows you to accept all, reject all, or configure your preferences. No such storage will be set before you give a freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent in line with Articles 4(11) and 7 GDPR. You will be able to withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawal will be as easy as giving consent.
6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- see which cookies are stored and delete them individually,
- block all cookies or only third-party cookies,
- receive a notification before a cookie is stored.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may impact the operation of the Website. Guidance for major browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
7. Personal Data and Cookies
Information collected through cookies may constitute personal data within the meaning of the GDPR. The controller of that data is Lumizone Łukasz Blania. Details on lawful bases, retention, recipients and your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in technology or the law. The current version is always available at firstpersonviewpoint.com/cookies.
