First Person Viewpoint (FPV) lets you permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly from within the app.
How to delete your account (in-app)
- Open the FPV app on your device and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation).
- Scroll down and tap Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. The action is irreversible.
The deletion is processed immediately. You will be signed out and returned to the welcome screen.
How to delete your account (by email)
If you cannot access the app, email us at contact@firstpersonviewpoint.com from the email address associated with your account. Include the subject line Account deletion request. We will process your request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your user profile (email, username, bio, avatar)
- All characters you created
- All story sessions and their messages (narratives, actions)
- All custom worlds you created
- All world covers and avatars you uploaded (from Supabase Storage)
- All comments you posted on community worlds
- Your likes, follows, and reports
- Your Codex / Lore entries
- Your authentication record
What is retained and for how long
For legal, security, and fraud-prevention purposes, we may retain the following after account deletion:
- Anonymized payment records — retained by our subscription processor (RevenueCat / Google Play / Apple) for up to the period required by tax and consumer-protection law (typically up to 7 years). These records are not linked to your deleted identity.
- Abuse / moderation logs — if your account was reported or moderated, a record of the moderation action may be retained for up to 24 months for safety purposes (no longer linked to your identity).
- Server log files — standard HTTP / infrastructure logs rotate within 30 days and may contain IP address or request metadata tied to your session. These are not linked to your account after deletion.
Everything else is permanently deleted from our databases and storage buckets immediately upon your request.
Subscriptions
If you have an active Pro or Max subscription, deleting your FPV account does not automatically cancel it on Google Play or Apple. To cancel your subscription, manage it in:
- Android: Google Play app → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- iOS: Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions
We recommend cancelling any active subscription before deleting your account.
